I've fallen for romantic Mr Right: But he wants no-strings sex not a long-term relationship

Dear Coleen,

I’ve fallen head over heels for this gorgeous man.

He’s 49 and a real free spirit.

We’ve been on some amazing dates â€" for example, one Friday night he texted me and told me to be ready with my passport at 8am the next morning, then he whisked me off to Paris for the day.

It was so romantic, and the sex is incredibly hot.

The big fly in the ointment is that he’s told me he doesn’t want to be tied down to one woman as he’s been married three times in the past and all of his marriages ended badly.

I just can’t believe I’ve found the perfect guy for me and he won’t commit.

I’m 43 now though, and have had enough of looking for Mr Right after several disastrous relationships and long spells of being a single woman.

I’m tempted just to go with the flow and see this man as often as I can â€" the passion and excitement I feel when I’m with him is just so addictive.

Go with the flow! First of all, it’s a good sign that he’s been honest with you from the start.

He’s not promising you the earth, then sneaking around with other women behind your back.

It sounds like you’ve had some bad dates and hopeless boyfriends in the past, so this fun, exciting, no-strings-attached relationship you’ve got going could be just what the doctor ordered.

There’s nothing wrong with having fun!

If he’s had three previous marriages end badly, it’s no surprise that he’s wary of getting involved in something serious and of women who might be on the lookout for a hubby.

If you think you can handle it without expecting more from him than he’s willing to give, or becoming jealous if you find out he’s seen other people, then go for it.

There’s always a chance he’ll change his attitude the more you get to know each other and he’ll want to make a commitment â€" just don’t b ank on it happening and don’t put pressure on him to change his ways.

Enjoy the romance, enjoy the sex and, er, pass his number on to me when you’re done (only joking!).
