"I’m keeping my eyes peeled for my next wife!" Russell Brand disses Katy (and Kim) at the MTV Movie Awards

Russell Brand hosted the MTV Music Awards in Los Angeles last night and he was on FIRE!

Katy! Kim Kardashian! Divorce! There was no stopping the 37-year-old comedian.

Russ' (can we call you Russ? NO? Okay) Russell and singer Katy Perry announced their split in December 2011 after 14 months of marriage.

But it seems it's not too soon to joke about it, as Russell quipped: "Last time I did an MTV show I ended up marrying someone.

“Tonight I’m going to keep my eyes peeled for my next wife.”

He didn't stop there though, oh no, Mr Brand then targeted Kim Kardashian, joking: “Kim took a lot of pressure off with her world record marriage â€" thanks, Kim.”

Russell hosted the ceremony in LA last night

And wore some pretty sexy leather trews too...hot, or just not?

The Hunger Games won big on the night with four gongs including two for the lead roles played by Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson.

Johnny Depp took to the stage to flex his, um, vocal chords whilst looking mighty pretty too.

 

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn â€" Part 1 took home the movie of the year award, with Taylor Lautner thanking the franchise’s “loyal and dedicated” fans, while Twilight’s Kristen Stewart also went on stage to accept the best kiss gong.

And Jennifer Aniston was called an actual Dirtbag, on TV, by MTV. Shocker!
