Beyonce cuddling Gwyneth... Jessica and Justin giggling together... Rihanna having a dance. This is like something that happens in our dreams.

But this isn't our dreams; this is the Met Gala party, and the pictures that the celebs didn't want you to see. They thought you'd be happy looking at their posed red carpet ones! And you were, to an extent. Especially when Beyonce flashed her bottom. Oh, did you not see that? Check it out here.

But it's these shots, when the celebs had had a few drinks and stopped with the pouting and leg out poses, that we really like.

Those glasses are remarkably empty

It's like she's looking at us - we're properly terrified

The drink glasses look suspiciously empty - have they just arrived or do the celebs just guzzle drinks exceptionally fast?

Maybe Justin Timberlake and girlfriend Jessica Biel had them all - they look quite giggly here.

Well that kills those break-up rumours then

Oh, and we have Gwyneth and Jada Pinkett-Smith, possibly sharing tips on slick hair buns, and Colin Firth and Marion Cotillard, almost definitely not  sharing tips on slick hair buns.

And then there's Cameron Diaz, heading over to interrupt a Rihanna and Gwyneth hug - know when you're not wanted Diaz, they're having a moment.

Here's Rihanna having a dance - basically, Rihanna is always having a dance. Though she was on an IV drip the very next day... ok, that's weird.
